February's Stuart Fl. Charter fishing report

03-01-2016
February started out with poor water quality and difficult conditions, but by the end of it everything seemed to be on track. During the first week we caught a handful of sales some dolphin blackfin tuna and experienced decent bottom fishing for smaller snapper and sea bass. Week two was followed by pretty poor weather and more dirty water coming out of the lake. We were actually featured on channel 25 news as we brought the reporter out to show the disgusting water. Week two was followed by pretty poor weather and more dirty water coming out of the lake. We were actually featured on channel 25 news as we brought the reporter out to show the disgusting water off our inlet. The third week of February offered better fishing conditions and also better fishing. We took our sponsors from Xtra Tuf and FinNor fishing and cut a couple out of a few sales some amberjack's and one dolphin. We also took Florida Sportsman Magazine out and caught a sail, some mahi and couple nice grouper including a gorgeous black. I also joined George Poveromo and one of his seminars up in Port St. Lucie and hosted the trolling for sail fish and mahi parts. The final week of February should promise with bottom fishing picking up back to good the sails showing up in more force. We're also starting to catch some cobia now too.
